Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (previously known as Amrita University), established in 1994, is a private deemed-to-be-university and an entity of eminence located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is a multi-campus and multi-disciplinary university with six campuses and 15 constituent schools spread all across the southern part of India.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been recognized for its academic excellence and has achieved rankings within the University and Medical categories by the NIRF Rankings.
In 2003, it became one of the youngest institutes to become a deemed university, when it was conferred this status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Also, AVV Coimbatore has been accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC in 2009. AVV offers a wide range of UG, PG and Doctoral programs in various disciplines.
