Rajdhani College, Delhi University, New Delhi Overview
Rajdhani College was founded in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi, by the Delhi Administration in 1964 as Government College, and was renamed Rajdhani College after the Delhi administration entrusted its control to an autonomous Governing Body. Rajdhani Institution is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, with a history of academic achievement spanning 50 years.
Apart from its academic quality, the college is highly sought after due to its strategic location. The college began in a school building in Kirti Nagar with few amenities, but thanks to the efforts of the Governing Bodies, teachers, and administrative staff, it has grown into one of the top institutions in the University of Delhi. In 1976-77, a magnificent and large college building was built to accommodate the growing number of students, and it was opened by the then-President of India, Sh. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed.
